The madrasa, which was built by Emir Celaleddin Karatay in 1251, has been visited since 1955 as the Karatay Museum, also known as the Tile Works Museum. In the madrasah, which was also used by the Ottomans after the Seljuks, tiles belonging to these periods are exhibited.
Konya Archeology Museum
Konya Archeology Museum, as the second oldest archeology museum in Turkey after the Istanbul Archeology Museum, was first opened to visitors in 1901. The artifacts, which were moved to the Mevlana Museum in 1927 and to the İplikçi Mosque in 1953, were moved to the present museum building in 1962.
In Konya Archeology Museum, Neolithic Age artifacts, Old Bronze and Middle Bronze (Assyrian Trade Colonies) artifacts, Iron Age artifacts, Artifacts from the Classical and Hellenistic periods, artifacts from the Roman and Byzantine periods are exhibited.
Nasreddin Hodja Archeology and Ethnography Museum
Welcoming its visitors in the Akşehir district of Konya, the Nasreddin Hodja Archeology and Ethnography Museum was opened to visitors after the Rüştü Bey Mansion was expropriated in 1989 and repaired in 1992.
Ethnographic works describing the mixed culture seen in Akşehir are exhibited in the museum. The gate of Seyyid Mahmud Hayrani Tomb, where you can see examples of woodwork from the 13th century, and the sarcophagus of Sheikh Eyüb Tomb are also exhibited in the middle hall of the museum.
Konya Ataturk House Museum
The two-storey historical building, which is the house where Atatürk stayed when he came to Konya, was registered in his name in 1928 as a thank you to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk by the people of Konya. The building, which was used as the Governor's Mansion between 1940 and 1963, was repaired and opened to visitors as Atatürk House and Culture Museum on 17 December 1964.
In the Atatürk Museum, which was restored in 1982, you can see the documents and photographs belonging to the period of the War of Independence, Atatürk's visits to Konya and the people of Konya.
